Manos Serena Giveaway!

To make up for my long silence spent at the bottom of the Well of Spreadsheets (I tech edit everything), I'm giving some stuff away. Well, some yarn, actually. And a pattern!

What we're giving away:

Artesano is very kindly offering three 50g skeins of the lovely, silky Manos del Uruguay Serena in a colour or the winner's choosing.

Three skeins of Manos Serena also just happens to be enough to make...

Hele! My lovely lace shawl with nupps (or beads, if you'd prefer) and a feathered edging. The pattern will also go free to the winner (or, if the winner already has it, another of my shawl patterns of their choice).

All you have to do is comment on this post by 23:59 GMT, Friday 7th December and tell me your favourite fibre for Autumn (I know - it may feel like Winter, but that doesn't start for another three weeks!). On December 8th, one lucky winner will be chosen and notified by e-mail, so please be sure to include it in the e-mail field when commenting, or by PM on Ravelry, if preferred.

Only one entry per person, please, and feel free to comment no matter where you live!

I think my favourite Autumn fibre has to be wool. I really nice sproingy wool!

I'm enjoying my first go of knitting with alpaca at the moment -and I'm looking forward to using some Blue Faced Leicester soon. They both feel lovely and autumny.

My favourite fiber? Anything that can be spun, and can be knit/crochet with afterwards. And it needs to be warm! So 100% wool with a touch of mohair. Love it.

I love all spinnable fibers. My favorite is Rambouillet.

Wool - no matter what the season, I love wool!

My favourite fibre for autumn is silk as it adjusts from being cool if we get a warm “Indian autumn” or warm if we get an icy “Icelandic autumn”

Mine is alpaca. Warm but light, and luxurious - it gets me in the mood for winter!

Alpaca! Love to knit with it year round, but it's a bit too hot to wear in the summer. :)

Thank you for the giveaway!

I just learned to crochet this summer, and picked up some alpaca to try. It made me think of fall when I picked it up. Think I will try to make it into a shawl for next fall.

Merino!

I'd generally say Malabrigo, but I'm about to start knitting your beautiful "Elsie", and using a stunning nectarine, pink and red transitioning Merino Mohair from New Zealand. :)
Can't wait!!! Margaret

My favourite fiber is definitely merino. warm enough when it is cool and not too warm if the day gets warmer.

My favourite autumn fiber is a mixture between coton and wool, not too warm but warm enough.

For Autumn, I like a lightweight wool/silk blend.

I would love knitting with alpaca blended with silk in autumn colours...mmm really soft smooth and silky. Already dreaming...

My fave is definitely an alpaca/silk mix or a merino/cashmere/silk mix (yes, I'm spoiled XD). Lovely smooshy yarns in autumn colours to combat all the rain...

My favourite is a silk/merino blend because it's so soft and with the weather I think a bit of luxury is needed! :)
